A huge thank you to everyone who watched, supported, and voted in the K12 Reel Me Competition. Public voting for the People’s Choice Awards has officially ended, and we’re grateful to all who helped recognize the amazing creativity of our K12-powered students.
Now the countdown begins! Join us on August 18 for the winner reveal of our 2026 K12 Reel Me winners, including this year’s People’s Choice champions.

How it Works
1. Entries Are Closed
Thank you to all K12-powered students who submitted their “My K12 Why” videos by June 30. We’re blown away by your creativity!
2. Public Voting (July 2–22)
Watch your favorite videos and cast your vote for the People’s Choice award during the public voting period. Anyone can vote once per day and share their favorites with others!
3. Winners Announced August 18
Winners from each grade band — including People’s Choice — will be revealed.
Video Guidelines
Video entries should be:
Be 30–60 seconds long
Be filmed vertically (9:16)
Ensure that the subject of each shot is clearly visible and centered in the frame
Highlight your personality and interests
Clearly show your face (no hiding!)
Wear school- or work-appropriate clothing
Show us your learning space (optional but encouraged!
Video entries should NOT:
Include your last name (first names only for yourself and other students—teachers’ last names are okay)
Show logos other than K12 or your school
Include anyone without their written permission
Use AI for any part of your video
Judging & Prizes
How Entries Are Judged
Creativity: 50%
Original ideas, engaging storytelling, and unique presentation.
Authenticity: 25%
Real stories. Real voice. Genuine experience.
Technical Proficiency: 25%
Clear filming, smooth editing, and strong overall presentation.
Prizes
A 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place winner will be selected by a panel of judges for each grade band (K–2, 3–5, 6–8, 9–12). That’s 12 total winners!
One People’s Choice winner will be selected for each grade band (K–2, 3–5, 6–8, 9–12) for a total of 4 winners.
